Shoreworx Completes Mile-Long Fiber Optic Installation for Campus Connectivity

Our outside plant team recently completed a major fiber optic project, installing over a mile of trenched conduit and fiber optic cable to connect two buildings on a campus seamlessly. This project involved:

-Schedule 40 PVC Conduit Installation: Providing a durable pathway for secure underground cable routing.
-In-Ground Pull Boxes: Strategically placed for maintenance access and streamlined cable management.
-Single Mode Fiber Optic Cable Installation: Installed through the conduit, connecting network switches in each building.
-Fusion Splicing and OTDR Testing: Ensuring optimal signal quality and performance across the fiber link.

This setup allows our client to enjoy a high-speed, seamless connection between the buildings’ network switches, eliminating the need for separate ISP feeds and creating significant long-term cost savings.
