Public View Monitor (PVM) Installations
Public View Monitor (PVM) Installations
Our technicians successfully completed the installation of Public View Monitor (PVM) screens across 32 retail stores and still have a dozen or so to go to complete the project cycle. These monitors serve as a critical theft deterrent system, enhancing security and surveillance for the customer.
Key Tasks Completed:
-Mounting and Installation: Installed three PVM screens per store in strategic locations.
-Category 6 Cabling: Ran new plenum CAT6 cabling to each screen, ensuring optimal connectivity.
-Fluke Testing: Performed Fluke certification testing on all newly installed cables to verify performance and reliability.
-Conduit and Supports: Installed 3/4″ conduit and Unistrut supports to securely route and conceal network cabling from the horizontal cable pathway to the PVM.
-Network Switch Setup: Configured and set up new network switches at selected locations.
-Patch Cable Installation: Connected new Category 6 patch cables from network switch ports to patch panel ports.
-Documentation: Provided detailed documentation, including up to 30 deliverable photos and electronic Fluke test results, upon project completion.
This project highlights our team’s attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering precise installations that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
